What Information Do We Collect?
We process your personal data when you make a purchase with us or join our mailing list. When you place an order with us (either online or via phone), we process your name, address, telephone number, email address and payment details (unless you pay via PayPal, in which case we don’t process your payment details).If paying by card, we keep your card details together with your name, address, telephone number and email address details for 7 days in a secure location on our premises (not online) for the purposes of exchanges or refunds.
We keep your name, address, telephone number and email address on a secure database and in our secure premises location for accounting purposes.
Your card details are separated from your name and address details after 7 days and destroyed. Sale receipts are kept in a secure location on our premises (without your name and address details attached) for 18 months for accounting purposes.
If you have visited our website we may automatically collect some personal information including: details of your browser and operating system, the website from which you visit our website, the pages that you visit on our website, the date of your visit, and your IP address.
We have CCTV in operation at our premises for security purposes. It is therefore possible that images of you will be recorded when visiting our site in Coventry.
How We Use Your Information
If you have been a previous customer, when we produce a new catalogue we post one out to you for your perusal. If you’d rather we didn’t do this, please give us a call on 024 76466296 and we’ll remove you from our list.If you have voluntarily joined our email mailing list, we will send you occasional emails (a couple a month maximum) informing you of new products or exclusive special offers. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time.
Information that is collected automatically from a visit to our website (details of your browser, operating system etc, as mentioned above) is used to learn how best to serve our customers. This is anonymous information that we collate in order to see how our website is used and make it work better for as many users as possible.
We never sell or provide any of your information to any third party or organisation (other than is explained directly below). The information we have about you is purely for us and you may request that we permanently delete any or all of this information at any time.
Third parties that have access to your information on our behalf:
- Mailchimp; Our email newsletter service. When you join our mailing list, your email address is stored with Mailchimp and our emails are sent through them. They are not authorised to sell your information or use it for themselves.
- Google Analytics; collects data automatically when you visit our website in order for us to keep our site working well for you. This data is mostly anonymous and you are only identified by your IP address.
- Our courier companies; we enter your name, address, telephone number and email address into our courier websites when processing an order you’ve placed with us, for the purpose of them delivering to you.
- We may transfer your data to government or other official bodies for the purposes of complying with legal obligations, for enforcing our rights, or for the prevention or detection of a crime.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
