Bought this on a whim as it matched my jacket and never quite managed the perfect neck tube combination. So glad I had this with me last week when riding through Austria the weather turned really nasty (3c and sleet and then heavy rain). I wore a thin buff underneath and in 3 days of riding through rain not a drop got inside and I never got a cold neck or horrible updrafts into my flip front helmet. Now will always be in the tank bag. Highly recommended - I'm a 17 1/2 inch collar and the medium is fine.
